5e 2nd-7th level Bard? Build ideas please.

Ahoy.  I'm getting ready to play in a low level 5e game.  We will start at 2nd level, and likely reach 7th by the end.

 

Here are the rules:

  1. 27 point buy variation (see below)
  2. Must take free level of Bard at 2nd level
  3. GM will bump one 15 to a 16 for free before racial bonuses apply
  4. If you don't buy a 15 or higher before racial bonuses, you get an extra 2 stat buy points
  5. Can actually lower stats by 2 to gain more stat buy points; lower to 7 to get 1, 6 to get 2.

 

So I could go full Bard of course; free Bard level + Bards are much better now makes this an obvious choice.

 

Any other class benefit from a 2nd level dip in Bard enough to overcome the clear Bardness of this?  Would any sane player NOT play full Bard in this situation?  Bard Bard Bard?
