#1 xirr2000 Apr 13, 2015 11:31:40	Hello D&D community!  I'm looking for a character sheet that will allow me to create a character and then be able to copy it or export it as text to post in a wiki.  I have seen lotsa link to some really fancy .pdf sheets, but I'm really looking for a nice text sheet so that I can copy and paste it into a wiki.  Can anyone recommend somethign like this?   If you remember the old wizards tools for 4e had something like this, where it would help make a character, but then allow me to copy it all to clipboard for pasting.  That's what I'm looking for.  Thanks for any advice/input on this!
#2 Jordan175 Apr 13, 2015 23:44:49	There was such a website a few months ago, but Hasbro hit them with a cease and desist and it had to shut down. WotC was working with a company called trapdoor to make online tools, but that deal fell through for unknown reasons.   In answer to your question, no, there is no currently avaliable online character creation tool. Sorry.
#3 AaronOfBarbaria Apr 14, 2015 1:54:38	You can use Fantasy Grounds (a virtual table-top program that recently released licensed D&D materials) as a character building utility, but doing so requires spending a bit of cash to get access to the application itself (you can do just the $39.99 one-time fee or $3.99 monthly subscription option), and either lots of time inputing all the D&D rules info by yourself or additional money for access to the info pre-loaded for you (which would be $2.99 for the basic rules content, and an additional $49.99 to get the entire player's handbook).   It's not dedicated to only building characters, however, since it intends characters built in it to be used while playing via Fantasy Grounds - so I don't think it has an option to print the characters, but you can use it as a digital character sheet while in the character manager.
