#1 SimDawg Sep 26, 2014 17:51:43	Hey, wanted to run this by you guys and see what you think. Basically I've love the FMT archetype and I wanted to make it work for 5th edition.   Basically, you go FTR11/ROG9 with Eldritch Knight and Arcane Trickster archetypes.   You get 4 schools of magic, and are able to learn spells up to 4th level of all 4 magic schools, because when you gain levels you gain knowledge of spells on the basis of spell slots.   This lets you get 3 attacks, 5d6 sneak attack damage and rogue skills, and 1/3 wizard caster progression in 4 schools of magic.
#2 Danfmac Sep 26, 2014 18:37:39	Spells known are prepared individually by class. That means you would have Spells known as an EK of 11 level and Spells known as a 9th level AT, which would only get you up to 2nd level spells.   Since you take 1/3 Fighter and Thief levels round down for multiclass spellcasting slots you wouldn't even have a 4th level spell slot.

And with the (now wonky) exp rules back then, a Druid 7 would be lined up against a ~Fighter 5 / MU 5 / Thief 6.     Rogue 1 / Valor Bard X , might fit the bill.
#8 Demosthenes2054 Sep 27, 2014 13:28:07	I'd dip a level of fighter for proficiencies and split the rest of the levels between wizard and arcane trickster.  You'll lose out on bonus attacks but that was for single class fighters anyway wasn't it?  Or was that weapon specialization?
