Any word on if or when psionics will be implemented?

As a Dark Sun player I'd like to know if I could play as a battle mind or psion.

There's nothing yet.

But it seems highly likely that they eventually will.  Probably when they relase darksun.

There is Psychic Damage, certain creatures have inmunities to it...

Homebrew choices :

Then, there's a list of Spells that work like Psionics and could be used as such. Effectively just renaming them to their Psionic counterparts. Example> Wall of Force into Wall of Ectoplasm, Teleport into Psycoport, and so on.

Some member here actually took a look at what Dark Sun could look like in the next version of D&D. It may work as guideline, I'll just link it: http://community.wizards.com/content/blog/818796

Additionally, I've found this guy who made a psionic class for 5e > http://crossplanes.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/psionicist-class-for-d-5e.html

I just hope they don't do what they did in 4e and introduce Psionics(which didn't have encounter powers) and then introduce themes (which replace your encounter powers).

I'll put this out here I would jump onto a Psionic Playtest right now.

I just hope they retool psionics almost entirely and avoid the traps that 3.X and 4th Ed. psionics fell into i.e. lackluster classes and abilties that made psionics like like another flavor of sorcery and not it's own special thing.  My hope is for a system that's a little more freeform than what we normally see from DnD with overarching psionic types rather than specific powers.

I want to se POWER SCORES, in every Psionic Power;  a feature of AD&D 2nd Ed Psionics, as introduced. The power score would let you increase significantly the power's effect if you rolled high (20 would be now).

I really like Psionics having more at will powers and movement shenanigans.

The previous iterations seem to have had problems with try to be too different. I wouldn't mind them replacing a Spells List with An ability list that doesn't require spell slots.

Huh. Minor Conjuration (Wizard 2nd level class feature) doesn't let you summon magical items, but psionic items are OK apparently. Its says that nonmagical items can't be made, but it doesn't say that you have to make something nonpsionic.

I would be astonished if nothing for Psionics is released during the reign of 5th ed.

For now, I'm just gonna concentrate on what's here and explore that.

I expect the Psychic Warrior to be a Fighter Archetype, the psiblade to be a Rogue Archetype, and the Wilder to be a subclass of the Psion.

I would be astonished if nothing for Psionics is released during the reign of 5th ed.

We currently have the Great Old One Patron of the warlock class, which has a lot of psion overtones to it.    It works well as a kind of stop gap, I feel, until an offiical psion class comes out.
