#1 daspian Apr 27, 2015 1:56:08	question regarding action surge, i was creating a fighter 2/Sorc 18 build and was curious if the character would receive the second use of action surge at 17th level, i didn't understand by the wording if it mean't "character" level of 17 or "fighter" level of 17, as it just says "level" not specifically fighter level... but i didn't know if i was being to literal or what not.   also my second question as i am not someone that frequently multi-classes alot with characters... more of a purist =P if my character goes fighter 2/sorc 17 (total level 19) do i still get the 19th-level abil score improvements, as my character is a total level of 19... or do i miss out on that? as technically i am not a "class level of 19"?
#2 AndrewJO Apr 27, 2015 2:17:57	You gain the second use at fighter level 17, not character level 17. Second question, no. You gain ability score increases with class level, not character level.

#4 Rya.Reisender Apr 27, 2015 3:23:15	It always depends on class level really. If you reach level x with class y, then you get exactly those bonuses that class y gets at level x.   The only things I can think of that refer to total character level are proficiency bonus and exp to next level.
