- This is a first version, need some polish... If you're interested, I started from the D&D Next version i made
- Other page layouts may follow (A4 horizontal and A4 vertical first). For now enjoy the A5 booklet (my group prefers this format).
- I don't have the time to write it at the moment, but a small features guide is in the schedule. Feel free to ask for clarifications.
As a personal comment, I think WotC should provide a sheet with results break-up, like I did for the AC. Many new players find it easier to fill the sheet parts this way. It's also faster to update (do not have to remember all your bonuses where they come from, just update what changed and the grand total value), so veterans loves it as well. (statements made on the basis of feedback collected among friends and acquaintances)
UPDATE: as promised, before the end of September I'm giving to you a first A4-V version. In addition, I'm introducing to you an alternate version too for spellcasting classes.
I ask you a little more of patience for the fillable versions. There are so many fields to force me to split the releases.

Hey. I like this character sheet but would like it to be bigger. Maybe if I could separate the pages...is that possible? It just looks like you combined 2 pages onto 1.

As I stated initially, this version is an A5 booklet. So yes, it means that two pages are printed on a single sheet that is meant to be folded in the middle. This format is what my group enjoys most. You see, if you fold the page, on the front you have all the informations and stats you'll need most of the time (it was quite challenging to put all that data in a single A5 page). Campaign notes and equipment will remain inside the booklet. Last page is committed to combat: when combat start, players can
Option A) Keep the booklet folded and simply turn the whole stuff accordingly to what they need (front or last page)
Option B) When I designed I thought player could simply unfold the booklet, remaining with a A4 horizontal sheet containing all that is needed for combat.
Anyway, don't worry! I won't let you down! Since I received many questions about this, I'll set up a full A4 version by the end of September. Just keep watching on my blog, my twitter or my page on facebook or google+.

I'm really enjoying this sheet! It's layout is fantastic and extremely helpful, espeically with regards to information conveyance. I especially like having a lot of the definitions (like status conditions) spelled out on the sheet, so I don't have to continually reference the manual.
A few things, though:
- The stat meter, if it's supposed to be filled in, doesn't appear to align with the particular stats - instead, each pie slice seems positioned midway between two options. You might consider rotating this graphic by 1/12th so that each slice is directly aligned with a major stat bubble.
- I really love the breakout for Attuned Magic Items, but it feels a bit lacking on regular equipment slots, especially those that might need to be referenced on the fly. Perhaps you could break out the first few lines of the Carried Equipment section into these slots? Main Hand, Off Hand, armor, light source, feet, rings, etc.
- The sheet seems to be lacking a good space for mounts/pets/familiars
- My single biggest issue is the lack of a good section for keeping track of spells. While combat spells can go under attacks, other spells and the general spell list don't seem to have a place.
- I would also really really love to see the fields be made PDF fillable so I can put a character together on my computer and then save it, or print it out

- About the stat meter, it works a little bit different. You should find a point on every of the 6 axis (each related to one of the ability scores) and then connect them drawing a kind of hexagon. The hexagon will be deformed toward the higher scores. See the following picture for reference:
- I'll take in account your suggestions for the carried equipment.
- For spells, I'm considering to come up with a different sheet, something like the 3rd page of the WotC officials. That sheet current works great though.
- As you can see in the picture above, I'm thinking about a form fillable version. Still having some issues with some auto calculation. Work in progress.
Also, A4-vertical sheet is on the way...! ;)

Here are some suggestions that you may consider to further improve this masterpiece:
- i think the Ideals, Flaws, Bonds and Personality traits could be made larger (i like this roleplaying aspects), as it is now, you need to write in very small font.
- I second the "more spell stuff" section, though i would not sacrifice space but add sheets (i personally like large character sheets, like the one i translated for dnd 3.5 that is 8 pages long in A4 http://people.cs.kuleuven.be/~marco.patrignani/About_Me_files/DND3.5-en-squera-sheet-melee.pdf)
- in the A4 version you may want to consider more spacing between the lines. I play with people with horrible handwriting (including myself) and i find it quite small, it's difficult not to overflow into another line

Add my name to the list liking this sheet design. I printed mine out this afternoon and will be filling it in shortly (though a form-fillable one would be nice...)
One suggestion I would have would be to add some space between the two halves of the page. I printed mine on 11x17 paper (USA woo) and folded it in half for usability/portability, but found it hard to get the tiny sliver of separation properly aligned with the crease. I got close, but it cut off the first letters of the tiny "Actions" text. If you could push the two halves away from each other just a little bit, that would fix it I think.
Also, after A4 a 8.5x11 version would be appreciated. The two are different enough that you either get annoyingly large margins and tiny text, or the bottom cropped in a less-than-pleasing way.
