Alignment threads are some of the most loaded threads on this forum.   But, the descriptions in the book are really about as concrete an answer as you're going to get. Take them as general guidlines for what sort of general motivations influence the character's decisions and how the character acts in a given situation.
#3 AaronOfBarbaria Sep 01, 2014 21:38:46	To build upon what Mad Jack has said:   The only answer that counts is the answer you and your group agree on.   The extreme brevity of the descriptions in the rules was intentional. In this case, more words actually tends to make the confusion run much deeper and truer, rather than actually creating any kind of consensus that the community agrees on.
