Anyway to test your character

I remember back in 3 & 3.5 that if you wanted to test your character you would put him against a equal lvl barbarian. 

IS that still feasable? 

 

Not that you can really build a bad character in 5E but i would just like to try a few things out.

Not sure why it *wouldn't* be feasible, although I'm not sure what it would have told you (or what it would tell you in 3.X for that matter).
