#1 FunkySpunk Jun 17, 2015 20:19:32	On paper, I've been told this class is the weakest of the Rogues, but I just really like it.    How do you guys exploit this improved Mage Hand?
#2 jaappleton Jun 18, 2015 4:14:46	It's the weakest in the sense that it doesn't add much offensively. It's the best in that, in the right hands, with someone creative, it can be very awesome. Then again, anything based know Illusion and Trickery needs the right player for it to get the most out of it.

Which is even easier now with an invisible hand.   Planting on someone else, items you stole, when the town militia do that dreaded sweep of the tavern   Tying a guard's boot-laces together (from hidden range)   Stopping the door from closing totally (from hidden range)   Stealthily opening that bottle of Alchemist's Fire (from hidden range)   Mage hand is already very cool, but the AT takes it to a very new level that is only limited by what you can think up and what your DM lets you get away with   But yes I would also like to hear some other cool uses.

#6 Macv12 Jun 18, 2015 16:14:23	Close your eyes, touch yourself, and pretend it's someone else.   I imagine this gets a lot of folks through wizard school. An Arcane Trickster is just a wizard school dropout who got into gang stuff and knife fighting.
#7 Qzoo Jun 18, 2015 20:41:02	My bard uses it to hold his ale between songs while he performs  in taverns.   Also works for passing around a hat for tips...or taking a small knife to the bottom of somebody else's hat and taking a few coins.   Tying a rope up to 30' away.  Suddenly those 30' castle walls don't look so tough...be careful though, DMs can totally use this too.   Smashing a bug on the face of somebody important...because, well, just because.   Use it to touch things in dangerous places, like a pool of murky liquid, or picking up a shiny object from a pile of bones, that sort of thing.  Great for when you drop keys down a sewer grate.   Seriously, who is going to keep an arcane trickster locked up in jail when he can mage hand to steal keys?   Use it to open a secret door, when the trigger is placed 20' out-of-reach.  Especially cool when you need to have two mage hands to open the secret door (so maybe a special thieves' guild entrance).
#8 Lilika Jun 19, 2015 14:53:37	Minor image, if your a good scout, you can scout out the enemy, then make a minor image of an extra barrel, a boulder, or even a small fog or smoke cloud.  When combat starts you can shoot through it for advantage (great with Crossbow Expert, you can shoot twice) and enemies get disadvantage to attack you at range, no stealth needed.  Illusions are great with rogues and trickers will have access to them at lvl 3, including the even bigger and more adaptable silent image.   (edit-didn't read threat title)

#11 CaptainPicard Jun 20, 2015 2:33:08	Place a very large spider in an annoying guy's hair, or on his back.   Throw broken glass into someone's face midway through a tavern brawl, from a bottle broken earlier.   Knock over someone's stool or chair right as they go to sit down (ten pounds should be enough, if it's small).   Snap a twig in the wrong direction from a guard.   Unclip a common form of undergarment through someone's clothing.

#16 jaappleton Jun 27, 2015 6:56:27	I don't have my PHB with me, so I'm unsure of its application in combat, or if you can use it as a bonus action. So I may be wrong, but I'm spit-balling here.   If you're in a bar fight, throw a tankard of mead into somes face in an attempt to gain advantage. Make a wench in a brothel very happy.
