The ranger features give a nice flavor, and combine with the rogue assassin archetype i belive it will be a really fun character to play with.
You have a few roles in the party: tracker, trapper, DPR (not overpowered, but still...), scout and some source of walking danger detector with your insane perception. And the good thing is, you will be capable to fulfill these roles in low levels (its not those insane level 20 build combos).
The Bounty Hunter: Wood elf Ranger-5 Rogue-15

Don't grab cure wounds as a spell. Leave that for someone else unless you're really the only one who can cast a healing spell in the group and even then there's potions.
I would recommend switching from bows to a light/heavy crossbow at level 9 or level 13 and then grabbing crossbow expert at the same time.
You don't need skulker anymore since all that is required to hide is that you be "unclearly seen", any form of obscurement does that by default so skulker is now a useless feat to grab with the new errata for hiding. Plus you're a wood elf and you already have a racial hiding ability. I would switch around the feats to grab crossbow expert earlier in the build and then later sharpshooter. More attacks is better than -5 to hit for +10 damage for this character.
Alert is ok and I understand fits your concept, I just don't really dig it myself.
Hope this helps. |
