#1 ManoVega Sep 02, 2014 1:30:25	The RAW state "the attack must use a finesse or ranged weapon." A finesse weapon can be used with Str, so I assume you can gain sneak with a Rapier even if you use Str as your attack. Now follow me down the rabbit hole...   Let's say you are using a Dart as a melee attack (an improvised weapon). It is a Finesse and Ranged weapon, so it clearly fits the bill for sneak attack. If you have the Tavern Brawler feat, it's also an improvised attack, so you then get to grapple. This seems like a legit way of starting the "Brawler" class with a Strength base, and jumping to Fighter at 2nd. Stabbing people with a dart, then murder shanking them repeatedly. Then you get Trip, extra attacks, and maybe Heavy Armor feat to do it in Full Plate ;)   Not uber, but I think it's pretty awesome.
