Clerics can prepare wis mod + level spells per day, plus use their cantrips, and have their domain spells, automatically prepared right? So a cleric with wis 15 could prepare at lvl 1 3 spells, and have the domain spells as bonus spells prepared? And at the end of a long rest prepare a set of new ones i guess.
At level 1, you have 2 level 1 slots but 7 spells prepared (5 basic plus 2 domain) do you then get to choose 2 spells (or the same one twice) to cast? So something similar to the sorc casting stuff in version 3.5?
At later levels, if you say got cure wounds memorised as a level 1 spell, do you have to prepare it in a level 3 slot or could you just assign it to that spell slot later in the day after spell prep?
Many thanks in advance for clarifying the cleric spellcasting for me in advance.

But they can memorize, prepare, whatever, a higher number of spells. No more preparing two uses of Magic Missile and then needing to use Grease. Now you can prepare Magic Missile and Grease and use whichever one is needed.
Actually, this is more similar to the way the Cleric worked in 3.x. You have your spell list (which never changes) and you can pick from those spells a number to have memorized. Then, you can "spontaneously cast" them using one of your spell slots.
You prepare a number of spells which you can then choose to use in a number of spell slots your character has based on class level.
At higher levels, some spells can be cast in higher level spell slots (as higher level spells) and be augmented. For instance, the Wizard spell Magic Missile can be cast as a 3rd level spell, which means it would gain 2 additional force missiles (for a total of 5.) So, when you get to level 5 and have third level spell slots, you can prepare 1st level spells and cast them as 3rd level spells and, again depending on the spell, get additional effects from them.
