Therefore, I am going to put together a zombie apocalypse instead. I was planning on using Amythesist (Dias Ex games) but no it's 5th and they only have that supplement for 4th ed. Any recommendations on how much I can face lift and change things visually in 5th ed. to be modern but on my DM side it would all be regular DnD. Example: hobo globlin monster would be a construction worker zombie. Just reskin everything. Guns would be bows and crossbows. A maul might be a crowbar. Short sword is machete. Etc. thanks for any input !! |

Mayhaps, if your players aren't interested in 5e, you should just find a system better suited that they do like?
Just seems like you are trying to foce a square hole into a round peg.
Is the pay off gonna be worth it? I'm not sure it would be. What you describe sounds a bit forced.
I mean, there are a ton of awesome horror/zombie RGPs out there that do a great job of emulating the genre. |

Otherwise, the go-to for me would be the award winning All Flesh Must Be Eaten.
Also, there's this little gem called Outbreak: Undead.
Those are just a few. There are dozens of zombie apocolype rpgs out there. Just a google away. |

You can find the basic (GURPS Lite) rules at http://www.warehouse23.com/products/SJG31-0004 for free. They recently released a supplement specifically about Zombie campaigns. It can be found at http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/zombies/. There's also a supplement called GURPS Horror that covers all sorts of creepy supernatural things you could include in the campaign. It can be found at http://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/horror/ . |
