| #1fullm3talOptimusMar 25, 2015 12:12:22 | The range on Cure Wounds is Touch, but it doesn't specificly say wether or not you can cast it upon yourself, so can a cleric cast it on themselves? I suppose you could say yes if you wanted to, but mechanically from the PH, does that work? |
| #2melloredMar 25, 2015 12:13:43 | Yes. |
| #3IxidorRSMar 25, 2015 12:25:56 | If you match whatever it can be cast on, such as, "creature," and it doesn't say you can't then you can. There may be some spells that say, "other creature." You probably can't use those on yourself. |
| #4jaappletonMar 25, 2015 12:35:10 | If you can touch yourself, you can... Know what? I'm not finishing that. |
| #5fullm3talOptimusMar 25, 2015 13:22:57 | Thanks guys! |
| #6Coredump00Mar 25, 2015 15:06:08 | When I think abOUt you, I cast-cure-light-wounds myself |
| #7YunruMar 25, 2015 21:04:38 | Of course you can touch yourself. I think the rules even specifically mention that you can touch yourself when it lists what you can touch. ... What? |
| #8BloodscytheMar 26, 2015 20:51:36 | I'm not sure your Deity would approve of such behavior...
haha, but seriously, the rules for Spellcasting Targets->Targetting Yourself: If a spell targets a creature of your choice, you can choose yourself, unless the creature must be a hostile creature or specifically a creature other than you.
Since cure wounds lets you choose the target and doesn't say the target has to be hostile or a creature other than yourself, the target can be yourself. |
