Hey guys, I'm trying to build a character to be the ultimate dragon slayer. I've been looking through the classes, and there are so many great options for multiclassing that I'm having trouble making up my mind. I want the character to use a bow, everything else I'm willing to change. Some of the skills I'm interested in are danger sense (barbarian 2), dampen elements (nature cleric 6), divine strike (nature cleric 8), evasion (hunter ranger 15, rogue 7), uncanny dodge (hunter ranger 15, rogue 5), colossus slayer (hunter ranger 3). Right now it seems like the best way to get all of these abilities is ranger 3, rogue 7, cleric 8, barbarian 2. With this combination of skills, I should never take more than 1/4 damage from a dragon's breath weapon (1/2 from green dragons), and I should deal 3d8 damage per turn plus any other damage from spells. As a mostly martial character though, I don't like only having one attack. How do I best optimize this character for dragon slaying?

Swift quiver requires concentration, my build does 4d6+2(2d8+5)+3d8+5=AVG 55/MAX 95. It requires the use of a 5th level spell slot and concentration for 1 minute. Sneak attack damage would only be granted if a friendly character is next to the dragon, bonus action is used for 2 extra attacks with swift quiver. I could dump barbarian to put 2 more levels into ranger to increase damage by 2d8+5 (AVG 68 MAX 116)

Relevant to your interests, if your DM will allow it: Oath of the Dragonslayer
