When I use wildshape how proficiency works? do I add my proficiency to beast skills? tiger has perception +3 and wisdom +1(12). If i have wisdom +3 (16) what will be my total bonus? if i have proficiency on perception what will be my total bonus?
Can some1 tell me how keen smell works? i can always use it for my perception skills (except for something that is clearly not based on smell like finding a secret door) and so getting advantage on perception check? if some1 is hiding from me i can use keen smell?
p.s. is there an handbook rating druid spells? i like faerie fire and goodberries (i have cantrip covered) but apart from that i have no idea. |

That would mean it's proficiency is +1. Well, it SAYS to use your proficency if it's higher, so would I be using my +2 proficnecy for a total of +6 to hit? |
| #3melloredOct 22, 2014 12:58:28 | Attacks: No. You do not get your weapon proficencies. Druids arn't proficent in claws either.
Skills: Yes. You take the higher of your or your beasts skill profiency. So the tiger has +2 and your wis is 16, your bonus would be +5. If you own proficency bonus was +3, you would have +6.
Saves: Yes. Same as skills, you take the higher.
Keen Sense: Advantage to find hidden creatures (or other smelly things) seems to be the intent. Note that if you can't see them, they still get advantage.

| #10KalaniOct 24, 2014 0:03:51 | The thing is - few Druid forms have much in the way of skill proficiencies - making this a moot point in most cases.
Of all the beasts that Druids can wildshape into - few of them have a skill check higher than +4. My reasons for choosing this number as my cut-off is due to the fact that a 1st level character can easily gain a 14 in any stat they desire (assuming Point Buy) and will typically have a +3 to +4 modifier in their chosen skill proficiencies, with the odd +5 (assuming the skill is Wisdom-based in the case of a druid).
Here is the complete list of wildshape options with skill checks higher than +4 (this includes untrained checks).
