It's comparable to a polearm master paladin. But it doesn't require a feat (well some players may feel dual wielder is almost required).
For the same feat investment compared to a polearm master you will get 1 extra AC and 1d8 (assuming longswords) on all three attacks instead of 1d10 on two attack and 1d4 on the other. The damage will be very simliiar at this point and the polearm character can attack guys that move close to him (part of the polearm master feat) vs the two weapon fighters +1 AC.
That's assuming variant human at level 1 and both characters taking a feat. Seems pretty comparable to me with some nice tradeoffs. |
