| #1abanathieJul 18, 2014 23:43:56 | I created a simple excel character sheet. I attempted to keep the general format used in the WotC character sheets; however, I did have to make some changes for functionality. It does some minor calculations for the player. There are fields that don't have calculations; I'll work on those in the future. I don't want to do anything as involved as the old Heroforge sheet; however, I would like to develop something that is helpful to players as they put their characters together.

EDIT: Updated the sheet. Unfortunately, I noticed that it clips the bottom few boxes when viewed from the internet. In MS Excel, it formats properly as two separate sheets: the main character sheet and spell sheet. Weird, I'll keep looking into fixing that part... I wonder how it looks in OpenOffice...
I changed the format, due to some PM inputs, on the attack field. I made the damage field larger to accommodate adding "effects" to any spell entries. The attack modifier also auto updates; however, it doesn't take magic weapons into account.
I got other inputs; I'm working them one at a time due to time constraints. If you have any inputs, please post them here.
I think my next step is to create the "second" optional sheet in the character sheet zip. That way, I have alittle more freedom in moving stuff around... In addition, I was thinking of creating some blank spell cards...
EDIT: Added the second details sheet and a set of spell cards...

EDIT: New link with some updates:
EDIT: Reformatted the sheets to by "friendlier" for front and back print outs. I still need to rearrange the spell sheets though. I redid the spell cards; they now, well sorta, support front and back printouts. The spell cards need some major rearrangement to make it user friendly. Unfortunately, I still work out of town and updating is abit of a pain. I'll continue to work on it though. I also added a booklet sheet. This sheet is designed to be printed out in landscape format and folded in half. It has a simplified power list that some users have asked for. I appreciate any input on making the booklet better, or any other part.
EDIT: Cleaned up some things. New spellcards! I made these larger. The old cards are around 2x3 inches; the new cards are 3x4 inches. I'm getting old and my eyes needed larger print. I now have multiple characters in the Adventure League. I'll try to incorporate lessons learned as I play these other toons into future character sheets. Per request, I also added a blank sheet.
The first sheet is an example of a character. It's just there to give a player an idea on how one can fill out the sheet. The second sheet is blank; you can start your character from scratch without having to delete all of my data. |

I made a couple modifications to help automate hit dice and hit points based on level. But I like being able to write in my own calculations that are customized for each character, and that's east to do with your sheet.
I love the spell cards. Very helpfulat the table!
Thanks again! |

| #4RadperTAug 04, 2014 16:49:49 | I tried it in Open Office. Had to quit the browser but that's a file-sharing issue, it was opening in read-only mode. Once I could edit it, all I had to do was manually set the top & bottom margins to .50" and it worked great! |
| #5abanathieSep 03, 2014 7:45:01 | Updated the character sheet. First, I enlarged the size of the spell cards. The original were functional, but, at me advanced age, they weren't desirable at the table. Second, I moved the main character sheet to one worksheet, the spell sheet and spell cards to another sheet and created an AL log sheet. Third, I fixed some formatting issues.
I know that at least one user wanted a powers list; I was thinking of creating a short "cheat" sheet that would just detail some of the important stats on one sheet. Anyone want one of those? |

i'm not sure i understand re: the powers list: ? |

| #8blake_marloweSep 03, 2014 8:38:44 | o! i hadn't been thinking of that but yeah, that would make sense. i suppose sorcery points would make sense too. |
| #9ClutchboneSep 03, 2014 10:54:51 | I noticed that under Spellcasting Class, it auto-fills "Wisdom" in Primary Ability for paladins. This should be "Charisma" instead. Otherwise it looks great! |
| #10blake_marloweSep 03, 2014 14:16:46 | i believe the search skill is missing on the sheet. |

| #12blake_marloweSep 03, 2014 19:53:42 | ah--my mistake. thanks! |
| #13abanathieSep 03, 2014 20:10:20 | No worries... It does take some getting used to... |
| #14abanathieSep 27, 2014 22:36:55 | I've updated the sheet.
I changed the spell cards, again. They now have a backsheet; I still need to rearrange the cards to better support front and back printing. It's something that I will continue to work on; however, the margins and columns are set up so that cards mirror front and back.
I reformatted the main character sheet to maximize the area usage.
I added a booklet that is designed to be printed out in landscape and folded in half. It's basically your cheat sheet for your character. It lists the basic stats and has an area to list powers. I'm not sure if the power list will work for everyone though; any advice on moving things around would be appreciated.

I redid the spell cards again. The old ones are still there; however, my eyes aren't young anymore. I need the larger spell cards.
I have other characters in the AL now; so, I will be incorporating any lessons learned from playing those characters into future versions of the sheet. |

| #17abanathieMar 19, 2015 11:42:23 | Added a blank character sheet per your request. I kept the old filled in sheet as an example for anyone interested. The blank sheet is there to keep others from having to delete all of my stuff from the example. |
| #18Nod_HeroMar 19, 2015 13:45:58 | For the blank sheet link I get a note from Google Drive "You need permission" |
