Favored Enemy

Dec 11, 2014 13:28:38		Quick question in the PHB, the ranger feature Favored Enemy says you can alternatively choose 2 Humanoids, could Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Dragonborn, and Half Orcs be chosen as Favored Enemies?

You're not Favored Enemy: Jimmy, though that would be quite amusing.

There are evil humans, evil elves, etc. I don't see an issue with PC race humanoids as favored enemies, and if there is a lot of urban adventure in the campaign it becomes a better choice, IMO.

Dec 11, 2014 17:49:22 		Yeah that's what I was thinking as well, choosing elf and Human as the Favored Enemies, since you get 2 if it's humanoid, and one of the languages they know, for each race.

You could be an Elven Ranger and join the Eldreth Veluuthra (sp?) as your Faction.  Since you think only Elves are "real people" why not take Human and Orc as Favored Enemies, since they are the races most likely to step on the Elves' toes?
