#1 Incendavis Aug 04, 2015 15:54:49	Hello everyone! I want to try a little challange for myself in building a Favored Soul Sorcercer Link build. I would like some help creating it. (FYI my DM is letting me have Martial Weapon training if I grab War domain) Also my character will not be a carbon copy of Link just drawing inspiration from him.   So here is the stats I rolled for my Half Elf Sorcercer   Str :    16 Dex : 16 Con : 10 Int :    16 Wis :  10 Cha : 19   My party consists of a Rogue(Archer ?), Fighter (GWF), Barbarian, Bard(Lore), and Warlock (?).    I'm going to be picking up War Domain for my cleric domain, along with using a Longsword and a Shield when I can pick them up.  I'm trying to decide the Sorcercer Spells and Cantrips I will pick up which are proving to be the biggest difficulty for me.
#2 drizzt_zylo Aug 04, 2015 19:14:24	What aspects of link are u trying to mimic cause I think you'd have better luck with a different class like maybe a paladin or ranger.
#3 Incendavis Aug 05, 2015 13:28:32	Well I don't want to copy a specific link so much as the core concept of link. Link is blessed by the goddesses of hyrule to be their hero. Now usualyl link appears as a Fighter, Ranger, or sometimes Paladin. but I wanted to try and take the magic he is imbued with to a futher extent. Hence Favored Soul, a favored soul can use a weapons and has an extra attack but they also make use of magic. Now I am willing to MC into Fighter, Paladin, or Ranger but I don't know when I should or how many levels of such.
#4 drizzt_zylo Aug 05, 2015 15:33:07	I'd pick fire spells for din for Nauru I'd pick divination for farore I'd pic transmutation. Those are due to a quick wiki search hard facts and not fan theories that I had found as well. With those you get blasting though bout any damage will due I suppose maybe talk to your DM about changing damage types and then make sure to pick up elemental adept. You get utility spells though others will probably do as well like enchantment and abjuration. U get buffing spells though I think conjuration would be OK as well. For metamagic try to get the ones that alter those the best like extend empower twin or quicken hieghten or whatever you feel. If you multi class I'd pick paladin since his strikes can be empowered divine protection same spellcasting stat ability to call a horse get find familiar as a spell and flavor it as a little fairy who never stops yelling hey over here. I have no preference on domain since all it does is add to your spell list but keep in mind the spells you going for since that seems to be the key your going for to be link. If you go light it seems thematic since the goddesses became light as the ascended and were golden and adds many fire spells. They seemed peaceful so I don't see war but there is many buff spells. They seemed to he the creator of all so knowledge of all seems appropriate. Links race seems to be linked to nature and they seem favored so I can see nature. Life seems appropriate and you can flavor your healing as a potion or fairy dust or some such. I like tempest and trickery but those don't seem right so I'd say no to them.
#5 Ghost_Gallus Aug 05, 2015 16:09:20	I gotta say, a Valor Bard would fit the concept of Link a lot better. Most of the magic Link gets in all of his iterations are usually based on music or equipment.
