Favorite Pet / Ranger Combo

Wondering what peoples favorite Ranger / pet Combos are, not necisarly for optimzation, but for RP value.

 

 

Human / Wolf  - Mans best friend.

Dwarf / Bear - Something feels right to me here.

Elf / Panther - I think we all know why.

Half-Orc / Boar - Another good feeling about this one.

 

 

Just a fun question for those Ranger lovers out there.

Yeah, I picked a giant badger for my Gnome ranger because it made the most sense thematically AND had good crunch. He raised it since a baby, and it grew up a lot bigger than he thought it would, but he loves it just the same!

So this is from a home game, where halflings commonly live near a congo like rainforest, and reptilian creatures where very common, but I had an awesome riding lizard. It was quite fun to have a custom saddle made to lock im into it as he could shoot fairly well while the lizard climbed up trees and hung upside down.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Halfling/Pteranodon.
