Normally I'd go with the water whip first, since you don't encounter that often situations, where you could push someone over an edge and pushing means farther away, which could be problematic, if you want to focus the fire to them. At least if you're more concerned about having many opponents. And it's only a bonus action, you've still your action to kick the fallen/pulled foe. But it won't work that well vs. Dex-Builds.
For stronger single enemies, Fist of Unbroken Air is better, since you first push them away for you and send them prone in one package, especially useful vs. most roguish foes, since they tend to lack Strength. Don't waste Ki-Points by Airfisting a barbarian. And it's an full action, since you push and knock down, but that means that you're not going to act much more. |
