I'd love to build a Goliath barbarian but I can't find out anything for the racial features. Anyone have any insight?

Do you mean the Goliath from the Elemental Evil Player's Compendium by chance?

I have a freind who plays a Goliath Barbarian.  He was originally considering a mountain dwarf, but he really enjoys the ability to shrug off big hits with the d12 mitigation - not so great later on, but it'll keep you up in the early levels.  Rage and Stone's endurance is a great way to mitigate up 24+ damage.

Their stat line is solid (non pun intended?), as a free athletics for any martial class is great.

Goliaths actually make decent spellcasters, especially Clerics, because their racial ability can lessen damage to help maintain Concentration.

By the same token, they'd make decent paladins too! Especialy defender type ones using either a shield or polearm with the sentinel feat. Though Paladins after a certain level have really high constitution saves from a class feature.

I must add, there is one thing everyone has overlooked.

You get to play as a GOLIATH.

No, you don't get to play as a GOLIATH unfortunately, that'd be awesome. You can play as a Goliath though.

I was originally going to play a Goliath Necromancer Wizard, but now I'm thinking I might play a Goliath Abjurer Wizard.  Having the Warding provide some temp HPs in combat and then being able to mitigate 1d12+ damage that gets passed the warding is amazing!

I have been thinking of a goliath bard called Ackman the huge.
