#2 mellored Sep 23, 2014 12:44:18	Anything with a good Con save, and possibly new form of movement. Dragons   The biggest advantage to polymorph is your massive amount of (temporary) HP.  But to take advantage of that, you need to not lose concentration.

(Reply to #3) ZyloSnarf	Perhaps my initial impression was incorrect, but the Polymorph spell seemed entirely inteded as an offensive spell, not as a buff spell which is more up Wild Shape and Shapechange's alley.  I imagine there are creative ways to use it on your party members, even if just to save a low HP friend from getting KO'd.  But turning into an Int 2 or 3 animal isn't going to allow a character to pursue agendas beyond what an animal could, despite the assertion that the target retains its personality.  Maybe you won't eat your friends?   Turning an enemy into something incapable of combat like a turtle, or perhaps something capable of eating its friends like a T-Rex, seem to be the two most straightforward uses of Polymorph.

#9 1eejit Sep 24, 2014 5:03:33	Polymorph only allows Beasts, like Wild Shape. So simply refer to the Moon Druid guides.    You need the 9th-level versions of the spell - True Polymorph or Shapechange - for other creature types.   If you are talking about them just check out the CR19/20 monsters like Pit Fiend, Balor, Ancient White Dragon.
