Asthe title says we have parties in 5E, one of them has the healer feat the other one does not. The one without it has reached level 7 and they are starting to notice the difference. The healer feat seems to obsolete the life cleric at lower levels and if you have a cleric who takes this feat they now have a lot of spell slots freed up to blast away if they are a tempest/light cleric.
The cleric also does not have to take it as we have a thief with the healer feat who took it at level 1. He uses his bonus use an item action to heal people in combat and the healer feat restores 1d6+4+level in hit points per person per short rest.
Overall I would rate it blue and probably even sky blue for a thief its a really good feat. The only real downside is that people probably want to take a feat that enables slightly more damage but the ehaler feat seems to outclass a good chunk of the other feat options. If somone sucks it up and takes one for the team you will have a drastically easier time in game IMHO.

| #3DanfmacOct 10, 2014 0:01:28 | You can't use a healers kit as a bonus action. |

A rogue running up to the KO'd cleric and using a bonus action to get the cleric back into the fight could swing a battle. Even none theifs with the feat its still great at lvl 20, free healing is still free healing (no matter how little). |
| #16melloredOct 10, 2014 7:17:40 | Overall, i agree this feat (and inspring leader) is blue/sky blue.
At least someone in the party should get them. Rogues are a good choice for healer. |
| #17TimboramaOct 10, 2014 7:30:15 | Rating it black is fair for some classes, as some classes are better at it than others. It's situational because not EVERYone in the party should have it, and the class guides take this into account for feats and skills (most classes rate Arcana and other INT skills Red because they say "You're not the wizard or Bard") which is fair enough. Other classes like druid, Bard, Cleric, Rogue, and maybe even Ranger? Sure, I see it as Blue-ish. And Thieves as Sky Blue because it should be almost default
It is indeed very good, but rating it black is fine and not underrating, really. Purple? Totally underrating. Red? Definitely! |
| #18ClutchboneOct 10, 2014 10:19:26 | I rated it as black for rogues in general and blue for thieves in particular. Only one party member should have this feat though because I don't think 2 people with Healer can heal 1 person with it during the same short rest. |
