Fey Beast Tamer:

Choose one of the following creatures: displacer beast, or young owlbear. You gain it as your fey beast companion.
Your fey beast companion is considered an ally of you and your allies. It has animal intelligence, so you can communicate with it only at a basic level (like a trained pet), and it doesn’t understand complex ideas. By using your bonus action your fey beast companion can take a single action. If you don't command your fey beast companion it will continue to do what it was last commanded to do. Your fey beast companion is of the same level as you and levels up when you do.
At the end of a short rest, your fey beast companion regains all its hit points.
If you die or your companion drops below 1 hit point, it retreats back into the Feywild. If that occurs, you can use one of these two ways to call it back.
As a bonus action you can spend a Hit Die, and your companion appears in the nearest unoccupied space, with hit points equal to the value rolled.
Short Rest or Long Rest: At the end of the rest, your companion appears in the nearest unoccupied space, with full hit points.

Young Displacer Beast:

Medium Monstrosity, Lawful Neutral

AC: 13 (natural armor)

Honestly, unless you apply similar action control with the Beast Master Ranger, A ranger could just take this with the hunter subclass and be better. With a few tweaks to Beastmaster subclass, I would be okay with this feat. hope that makes sense
