Thanks in Advance: Class: Wizard Tradition: Arcane Archer Master of the elven warbands, the arcane archer is a warrior skilled in using magic to supplement their combat prowess. Beyond the woods, arcane archers gain renown throughout entire kingdoms for their supernatural accuracy with a bow and their ability to imbue their arrows with magic. In a group, they can strike fear into an entire enemy army.
Tradition Features 2nd level tradition Feature: When you pick this tradition at 2nd level you gain proficiency with Short Bows & Long Bows. You also gain the ability to imbue your arrows with Wizard spells. As an action, you can imbue a spell of 1st level or higher into an arrow you are holding. You cast the spell as normal but the effect does not occur until the arrow is used in an attack. You can only imbue a spell that affects one creature or a spell that has an area such as a sphere cloud or cylinder. The arrow holds the spell effect until the end of your next long rest or until it is used in an attack that hits. If you cast a spell that affects one the creature the next time the imbued arrow hits a creature with an attack, the attack deals damage as usual then you resolve the spells effects as usual. If you imbued the arrow with an area spell the creature does not need to be hit for the spell to take effect but is resolved from the intended target. Concentration spells, rituals and cantrips cannot be imbued in ammunition. You gain proficiency in Survival & Nature skills. 6th level tradition feature: Bound Weapon As an action you gain the ability to summon or dismiss a short bow or long bow You may change this weapon whenever you gain a level in this class. The weapon disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for more than a minute. Any projectile fired from this weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming damage resistance. This weapon may also be used as an arcane spellcasting focus. You may also spend an hour Binding a weapon in your possession to be used in this manner. You may only have one bound weapon at a time 10th level tradition Feature: Improved Bound Weapon Once you reach this level, any projectile fired from your bound weapon becomes a +1 arrow 14th Level tradition Feature: Defender of the Woodland Realm You have become attuned with both nature and the arcane. You are also able to have two familiars active at one time. Furthermore these familiars may take the form of a medium creature of CR ¼ or lower. They still may not take the attack action. You may also cast tree stride as a wizard spell once per long rest |

I know Arcane Arcers are typically Elven in fiction though. I cant really think of an alternate to give instead of it though.
Another point, if you give them prof. with all ranged weapons, the other features should not be limited to just arrows. Change the language to say ammunition, or instead give prof. with just bows. |

The 14th level abilities are way too late to be used to flavor the class. So you've been trained by the Elves to be this warrior, but you'll really not be good at the basics until you're much too powerful to need them? |
