| #3Ganymede425Jan 12, 2015 16:54:55 | No bonuses to attack. Ever.
I do not like the wonky language in the second bullet. This ability would activate when the user made an attack with a sling, crossbow, etc., and that doesn't seem intended. I'd rather it say something as follows: "When you make a ranged weapon attack with a thrown weapon, you may draw another weapon with the thrown property." |

| #6YunruJan 12, 2015 17:11:58 | That still leaves the problem of +1 Weapons that fire ammunition vs. +1 Weapons that are ammunition. |
| #7Ganymede425Jan 12, 2015 17:17:41 | Meh... Maybe a PC can discover a set of five +1 daggers in a velvet lined box, but the PC must attune to them as if they were one item to garner the bonus. |
| #8jaappletonJan 12, 2015 17:54:15 | Why no bonus to attack rolls? Archery fighting style already gets it. A +2 bonus, I believe. |
| #9Macv12Jan 12, 2015 18:13:11 | Is this a feat or a fighting style? It's outstandingly lackluster for a feat. What about...adding half your proficiency to improvised ranged attack rolls with non-proficient items? (Longswords, etc.)
I'd also consider why someone would choose to use thrown weapons instead of standard ranged options, and give a specific bonus to that. It seems like the main reason is that you aren't disadvantaged in melee combat, but another feat already fixes that problem when using ranged weapons. Maybe change the first bullet to "When you make a melee or ranged attack with a weapon with the Thrown property, (...)". I think you could read that into the wording as-is, but still. Makes thrown weapons better in their plan-B role, as well.
Also, the second bullet works to allow rapid-fire throwing of javelins, while the first only benefits Light weapons. Intended? I'd probably allow any Thrown weapon, but I'm not sure what the intention of the feat is. |
