Yes this is just an attempt at converting 4e's Thri-Kreen into 5e. Or at least, what I felt was the best bits. I'd find more lore but I thought to post the basics first.

RACIAL TRAITS

Ability scores: +2 Dexterity, +1 Wisdom
Size: Thri-Kreen range from 5'4" to 6' 6" in height. Your size is Medium.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 35 feet.

Languages: Common, Thri-kreen
Multiple Arms: As a thri-kreen you possess an extra set of limbs. These can be used to interact with objects or wield Light weapons.
Natural Jumper: A thri-kreen is always considered to have a running start when jumping.
Darkvision: Accustomed to empty deserts and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Torpor: Rather than sleep, thri-kreen enter a torpid state. In this state, you remain aware of your surroundings, and you require only 4 hours of torpor (rather than 8 hours of sleep) to gain the benefit of an long rest.

What's the mechanical benefit of having two extra arms? They don't really provide any advantage with dual weilding, though they could be of use with a fighter that wishes to hurl four weapons once he has that number of attacks.

You mean besides having the ability to be a badass pirate wielding four scimitars? Or wielding a shield, finesse weapon and Hand Crossbow? Or a gish that eould otherwise need a hand free?

Wouldn't the pirate hat interfere with their antennas?
