How bad would a half-orc wizard be?

Could it fit the jack of all trades role?

Maybe something like:

Strength 13 +2=15
Dexterity 12
Constitution 13 +1=14
Intelligence 15
Wisdom 12
Charisma 8

AC 14 with Mage Armor

HP: 8

At level 4 you could have a 16 INT and STR.

If your going to try and be in melee.  Take 1 level of war cleric, and get heavy armor + shields + weapons.  You can also get bless and guidance, without losing a spell slot.

That does mean you'l need 13 Wis though.

Then take abjuration as your wizard.  Cast haste on yourself when you get it, and wade in with your shield spell at the ready.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, though some levels of bard or rogue might be good: Expertise from rogue and Bardic Inspiration from bard. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything else to increase the Jack of all trades angle, except taking skill based feats instead of ability score increases.

If you wanted to be REALLY quirky you could try INT 10. But maybe that's just me...

8 Str, 15 Dex, 15 Con, 15 Int, 8 Wis, 8 Cha. Preracial. Post-racial you end up with:

10 Str, 15 Dex, 16 Con, 15 Int, 8 Wis, 8 Cha

Sure you're neither wise or charismatic, but you're a perfectly functional Wizard with higher survivability than most.

With the Ability Scores above you are fine, Half-Orc free "Death ward" is great on a Wizard.
