#1 Undrhil May 07, 2015 21:18:38	The topic title says it all.   Basically, my Wizard has Conjure Minor Elementals.  If I use it to conjure a handful of fire mephits, do I get to control them or does the DM control them?  If I get to control them, am I allowed to see the stat block to know what they can do?
#2 Jordan175 May 07, 2015 21:41:27	The spell says that they follow any commands you give them (no action cost). So while technically they are NPCs and should be under the control of the DM, he/she may ask you to handle the summoned creatures movements and attack rolls as a matter of convenience, especially if you take the option of summoning a lot of smaller ones.
#3 Krusk May 08, 2015 6:12:34	The DM controls them technically, but they do what you say. So if you say "Run over there and hit that dude" they do. Most DMs will probably agree if thats how their actions are governed that you should just move their minis and dictate what they are doing for ease of play.
#4 Mechatarrasque May 08, 2015 7:47:41	As a DM, I would require you to control the summoned critters (one less headache for me).  If, in a combat situation, you summon more than two critters and give them complicated instructions (more complicated than "everyone pick a goblin and attack the one you picked" or "surround me and act as my meat shields"), then we would have to switch to a grid (simple manual labor, scouting or spying on someone would be a different story).     Yes, I would let you see the mephit stat block, in fact, I would encourage you to have the block in front of you.
