Let us know if you gonna multi class so we can advise on any 13+ stats you'll need. Put your 16 in dex for sure though think your next highest stats should be con or whatever non dex skills you plan to be beyond good at since you get expertise. For the most part as long as you try and place a high roll in your main attack stat everything else falls into place relatively nicely

Why does everyone who "rolled stats" coming in "asking for help" always happen to have stats that are curiously way above the average rolls?

For that matter, how do people post the stats they supposedly rolled with enough time to figure it out while they're at the table? I only ask because I've NEVER been in a situation where you roll stats and the DM lets you wait a day (heck, any more than 10 minutes) to decide where to put them. You roll, you make your character, and you start playing that same session. Period.

Sometimes you roll good sometimes you roll bad you don't know their rolling parameters. Also if its hard to find time to play like pretty much every one of my groups cause some people have more then one job family schedules. Not everyone plays the same I mean look how many homebrews you see all over the place.

12/16(18)/14/13/13(14)/14

Take Expertise in Stealth and Perception to start. Skulker feat at 4th level. Expertise in Persuasion and Deception at 6th.

12 in Intelligence

13 in charisma, wisdom

14 in constitution, strength

16 in dexterity

Start as fighter

Archery or Duelist Fighting Style, depending if you want to be ranged or melee.

proficiency in shields, heavy crossbows

Str and Con saving throws

better starting gold

after 1 level of fighter go rogue until 4, then come back to fighter for level 2 and 3. If you want to melee off turn sneak attack, take battlemaster, if you want to get ridiculous ranged damage, go champion. Go to level 5 for extra attack.

If you are ranged, take sharpshooter, if you are melee, take mobility.

Crossbow expert is another good option for ranged assassin.

Read up on crafting poison to add some extra damage.
