| #1NolenjaJul 30, 2015 14:55:22 | So, I'm playing in a campaign in a huge party. Our druid, who is usually wildshaped as a front line fighter, just got his hands on an Ioun stone of reserve. And I feel we are under optimizing the spells to store in it. For spellcasters we have a druid, bard, wizard, paladin, ranger, and warlock. There's also a fighter, monk, and rogue. But as they do not have spells... Just curious what some ideal spells are, we currently just give him a level 3 hellish rebuke for a burst of damage. Thank you for your consideration. |
| #2transcendantviewerJul 30, 2015 15:31:01 | Usually, you'd want to stash a utility spell in there, wouldn't you? Something that'll turn the tide of a bad fight? Like for instance, if most of the party goes down, the stone with a Prayer of Healing gets used and everybody gets up. |

| #4transcendantviewerAug 01, 2015 9:46:12 | Yeah, in the description of the stone, it stores the spell's energy so you don't have to concentrate on it (As with holding an action on a spell.) So the spell is basically put on hold after casting and consumes the spell slot when the effect goes off. |
