| #1Protoclown98Apr 27, 2015 8:46:10 | So I am making a new character for a campaign, and wanted to do a more shamanistic take on it. Instead of multiclassing, I was thinking of a barbarian with Ritual Caster as my feat to represent a fighter with some primal magic to him (the ritual class I would chose would be wizard, as I think it fits the character being more special). If I distribute my character to be able to do this, my constitution takes a hit from 16 to 14, and I am wondering if the loss of a hit point and AC will make my character ineffective in combat.
Thanks! |

You'll be fine - the barbarian class itself will do most of your combat lifting, with rituals rounding out your out of combat utility. Your Constitution will actually be slightly less important if you go Totem Warrior: Bear due to the incredible resistances. |

But if you want to expend your selection with the feat, that sounds like a fun idea to me. Druid is probably a little more shaman-themed than Wizard, but either one sounds fun to me. |

As long as you have enough strength to hit people (16+) and at least 14 DEX, you should be okay on the combat front. And I'll echo the suggestion that you go Totem Warrior for your specialization, since it seems to fit the flavor of your character very well. |
