| #1SnigTheWorgAug 14, 2015 22:36:08 | Hey guys, I just got a Flame Tongue greatsword in my campaign tonight. This is an awesome weapon but i'm wondering if there is any way I can transfere the magic into my maul?
Just for RP purposes i'd rather wield a maul then a greatsword, but if there is nothing in game to support something like this i'll just bite the bullet and keep the flame tongue greatsword. |

If it's a home campaign? Ask your DM. You're asking to change it from Slashing (Greatsword) to Bludgeoning (Maul), basically. I don't see any sort of issue there. |

However, nothing should be mechanically broken in dealing bludgeoning instead of slashing as previously stated, so I agree with those saying "ask your DM". |
