Since we don't have a roleplaying help forum, I hope it's okay to ask this here.

I have started a Dragonborn Rogue with the Acolyte background.  He is lawful good and worships Bahamut.  I have some ideas for the way I want him to progress, but I cannot come up with a storyline or background-centric reasoning for him choosing to multiclass into Warlock.  I understand that sometimes Warlock pacts are unwanted or, maybe, desired at first but not any more.  How or why would a LG worshipper of Bahamut ever end up in a pact with (a) an archfey, which has nothing to do whatsoever with anything to do with a worshipper of Bahamut, (b) a fiend, which is evil and really my character wouldn't have a reason to be interacting with one, or (c) a great old one, which also has nothing to do with anything to do with Bahamut?

The main reason (mechanically) that I want to take him Warlock is to get the Darkvision invocation.  The spellcasting would go by the wayside as he wouldn't focus on it, maybe using True Strike to gain advantage on an attack or something.  Also, mechanically, it works fine because of his Charisma stat being a 14, so he is good to go in that respect.  I am just having the problem with the roleplaying aspect.

Maybe the pact was accidental? Like a servant of the one who made the pact disguises himself as a traveling merchant while you're wife is sick and ill and sells you some medicine only find out what he really is and that he now owns you're soul, or a fey creature saves your life and in there bizaare orange and blue morality where lives and property are one and the same declares that your his servant, maybe even you being kidnapped by a cult and experimented on.
