Lich Necro build help

Hi everyone.

So some quick info on the DM and where it's going. It's going to be a evil campiang and the DM is letting everyone start out as lvl 3 and add a template to their character. So my idea for the build is I want to be a necromancer never have gotten to play one. My focus on spells and undead (unless someone convinces me otherwise) is a few powerful buffed undead not an army of one hitters and spells that will kill/debuff targets. Also the DM is allowing access to any book in 3.5, pathfinder, faerun, and forgotten realms.

So my build is lvl 3 wizard lich, necro specialist. I want to end up going 5wiz/ 2 Ur-Priest/ 8 Mystic Thurger/ rest arcane mage. Gives me acess to 9th lvl cleric spells and rebuke undead, while only being 2 Cl behind as a wizard. Some of the things I'm having problems with deciding is which base race to be, what if any wizard variant to be, what familar to have. and a general direction of help towards spells to pick. And any cool tricks/hints on how to make sure my lich can't / won't be destroyed.

The DM is very liberal with allowing things for instance he's allowing me to get spell stiched at lvl 10 for free, create a shadesteel golem at lvl 12, no lvl adjustment for lich, ability to take Ur Priest w/o meeting all the requirements as a 5th lvl wiz. and would probably be up for some cool familars. The only thing he has flat out said no to is beholder mage.

Any help / advice or input would be greatly appreciated I have until Sunday to make my PC. Thank you everyone!

I'm confused. I was going to say you're in the wrong section (this is for 5e), but I'm more concerned about from what you've said being able to pull from any edition and indeed other games.

To be fair, pathfinder was fairly explicitly designed to be compatible with 3.X.

Unfortunately I have no insight here whatsoever since, as Yunru points out, these are the 5E forums and Pathfinder really isn't in my wheelhouse.

From what I've seen folks around here aren't super-sticklers for talking only about 5E, but you might have better luck over there. I suspect that there might be official Pathfinder forums that could help as well?
