Hey All,

So going to be playing in a group of level 15 evil drows.  We're using the standard array for ability scores:  15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 with the drow getting +2 dex and +1 cha and such.

We currently have a wizard and a rogue.  I typically play either fighters, bards or clerics and wanted to try something else, but if need be will go with one of them.  Was also trying to see what kind of snazzy multiclassing options were out there.

I know there's a million threads and such on these already, but was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions?

Also, the DM said Pallies are out as we're supposed to be evil, and all of the oaths seem to state you have to be good or help mudda fools out.  haha.

I'm not sure what level they'll be going to, so for meow, trying to figure out the "most badass combos," at level 15.  Should have skills and arcane already covered, buuuut, with that said, no reason why can't double up on em.

Anywho, if anyone could offer any cool idears for evil drow level 15 class(es) / builds, I'd greatly appreciate it!  Thanks all!

Any way to make an eldritch knight, warlock, sorc, monk build work?  Or should I be throat punched for even suggesting it?  haha.

...why not convince your DM an evil Pally is something easily done? Is he stuck in the 3.x and prior mindset? Is this a houserule due to his world? Doesn't it make just as much sense to be able to make a Paladin of Tyranny (LE) or Paladin of Slaughter (CE) than it does a Paladin of Justice (LG)? Not to mention that those types of paladins were introduced in 3.5's Unearthed Arcana...Would you be able to wait until the DMG so you can be a Blackguard?

Anyway, Fighter would do well, since you have a spell caster and a sneaky mobile guy. Actually, a Valor Bard could be perfect! Though you can kinda play however you want if you have a good DM who adjusts to the party dynamics!

I think drow synchs up nicely with bard, and it seems like every other thread about how to be a good (grappler, summoner, ect.) lists the bard as a good way to do that.  I could see any of the warlock patrons working (drow being fey, dealing with fiends, and having at least one lesser god being pretty G.O.O.-y), with the elf dex bonus, the blade pact with a light weapon works pretty well.

If you want to be "muhahaha, die mortals" Sorcerer 11/Warlock 2/Fighter 2 is good. Stick the 14 in Cha, the 15 in Dex and the 12/13 in Con.

First time you cast (note: cast, not renew) Hex use your Action Surge and cast Eldritch Blast twice at the Hex'd one.

Until it's then dead, cast Eldritch Blast and Quicken Eldritch Blast.

Once dead, renew Hex against another target and then cast your strongest Scorching Ray.

After that repeat the last two steps where appropriate.

Your level 15, use your stats bumps to make what ever you need, you have 6 points to give to your stats. The big question is are yall using the gender restricted drow society? Can males still learn magic freely ect.

Hey all, thanks for responses:

Actually 2 other players wanted to play pally's, but DM told them nope.  He didn't want to deal with it due to DMG not being out yet for oathbreaker or whatever.  I'm assuming we're sticking with the gender rules.  It's taking place in Forgotten Realms.

Another player is going to be a barb / berserker.

So far, the combo I am leaning towards, is:

Fighter Eldritch Knight 9

Bard College of Lore 3

Warlock Great old one 3 Pact of Chain

feats:  crossbow expertise, spell sniper, war caster.

can zap fools w/ 3 eldritch blasts and a weapon attack (rapier w/ dueling fighting style)

Bard College Lore give s a retawdud amount of skillz and also bonuses to non-prof skillz.

Going pact of chain for the imp familiar (named Higgins of course!!) Maybe do something silly with him 1 / day, cast darkness, have him fly in there and tail slap some bisses.  Otherwise do help action or what have you, for my first attack / round.

Starting as fighter level 1 so can get the Con Save Proficiency for advantage to save for Hex, or whatever other spell I use, since Hex will only come in to play 1 / round.  But still, a bump to damage is a bump to damage, amirightguys?  ...guys?...

Background:  Criminal Spy

Then throw homeboy into plate armor and a shield.  (Sub-response:  We have 5k GP to spend on gear)  (expertise on stealth) so have +13 stealth, so disadvantage shouldn't matter all that much. "shouldn't" being the key word.  woot!
