So I'm still new to D&D, our group played through Lost Mines of Phandelver recently and got us into it, now we're about to play Horde of The Dragon Queen.
I'm going to be playing a monk, and after some digging I decided I wanted my back story to be based around my parents being from both the Black and White Chung Tao, and falling in love, then fleeing Shou Lung because the Chung Tao orders weren't happy about it (in a nutshell).
I wanted to try and make it a lore friendly character, so I wanted to dig into the background of the Black and White Chung Tao, but i've only come across some short paragraphs at the forgotten realms wiki. Can anyone tell me a bit about them? or point me in the direction of any sources that will tell me more about them?
Thanks!

... wow, you get the Marvel "No" Prize for the day. Legend Of The 5 Rings, is the same writers as the 3rd Edition Oriental Adventures.
Their wiki is here: http://l5r.wikia.com/wiki/Legend_of_the_Five_Rings_Wiki ... but even so, their search turned up nothing.
However, East Asian to quirky English spelling conversions are notoriously not perfect matches. I failed my Knowledge Wade-Giles check, and can not Take 20 on it.

It's not available as PDF in Wizards' store, and it's obviously out of print. Maybe you can find a download link somewhere.
That said, the sourcebook is almost 30 years old. I don't think the Chung Tao have been mentioned in 3rd and 4th Edition, so it's probably easier to just fill in the blanks yourself. |
