Portent, that 2nd level Divination class feature.

Has no save.

Being able to control anyone's roll within eyesight without resistance is pretty annoying, and combined with the fact that you can make Save or Lose spells into Lose or Lose spells with this is very very annoying

What do

I roll my two Portent dice.  Double 20s!  Awesome.

Then, every combat thereafter, the fighter and rogue look at you when they announce they are swinging on the big bad guy.  Until you use them on something else.

I think the bardic inspiration ability on a lore bard is more effective overall. The potential ability occurs a lot less often and will generate average results over the course of the campaign even with random good rolls on a regular basis. Bardic inspiration for d8's 3 or 4 times per short rest is by 5th level, and d12's at 15th level 5 times per short rest to modify a d20 is rather impacting. Cutting words is done on a reaction. 2 or 3 dice per long rest seems reasonable for portent.
