#1 QwertyAzerty Mar 17, 2015 4:51:13	I now I read on theses forum somewhere that when you take Magic initiate you learn the spell so if your a spellcaster you could cast that spell using your regular spell slot? so a Eldritch knight could take Armor of Agathys from the warlock spell list and cast it using his Eldritch knight level 4 spell slot?   can anyone send me the twitter or somethign where this had been confirmed?

#3 ppaladin123 Mar 17, 2015 14:33:58	It was a tweet by Mike Mearls about how a DM might rule on this. It is not official just a suggestion/idea from one of the game designers.

It's entirely possible a developer has tweeted something to the contrary, but i'm not privy to that information.   You get to pick one level one spell from the indicated classes' spell lists, and can cast it once without using a spell slot. You can then cast it again after each long rest. (it's debatable if it requires a spell slot or not, but is very clear on the 'only once per long rest' part of it)
