Minor Conjuration at the table

I know there is already a thread dedicated to this feature but it focuses on the theoretical cheesy applications. Instead of derail that thread I figured I'd make a new one where we can compile fun, RP, and useful things to conjur with our ability that won't make our DM hate us. That being said there are quite a few legitimate uses posted in that thread which I will crosspost here. Many of these uses will still be subject to DM approval (as is everything in the game when you get down to it) so I'll try to note the uses that may be a little more questionable.

Conjure your spellbook to prepare your spells while keeping the real one safely hidden (there is debate if a spellbook is magical or not, consult your DM)

Conjure small weapons/ammunituon

Conjure any book you have seen/read/memorized (talk with DM about required level of familiarityfor this)

Conjure the keyring you saw on a guardsmen

Conjure a set of thieves tools for your thief, while we're at it Conjure up most any set of tools (size restrictions may apply, I haven't researched this one in depth)

Conjure a flask of acid or other alchemical agents you've seen (some suggest the flask would break when thrown and the acid and flask would dispell, if your DM agrees with this interpretation you should still be able to pour the acid out for other uses, or even pour it into a real flask)

Conjure a coil of rope that you could uncoil and use normaly (iffy, consuly DM)

Conjure material components for spells when you loose component pouch (again with DM approval, my ruling would be this is okay for non costly components)

Conjure silly hats to match your mood

Conjure fancy robes (follows same logic as coild rope, maybe)

Depending on how your DM rules the conjuring of food you either never have to look for food again, or can eat as much desert as you want without getting fat

Draw a treasure map then burn it before showing it to anybody else, now you don't have to worry about anybody stealing/destroying your map and you an Conjure it back up with the low cost of 1 action.

there are many more situational uses I'm sure but I want to know, what have you guys used it for? What other fun ideas can you come up with that most DMs would still alllow?

Flour/ash to locate invisible creatures (Put Druidcraft to an actual use, or have presto again take the limelight)

String and bell, or crossbow and bolt for quick trap

Marbles or caltrops (1 bag of caltrops/ball bearings is 2 pounds, and you summoned 5 bags worth); Perhaps the DM will increase the Reflex save DC when moving through that square.

Flint & steel

Bedroll for a good laugh.

Grappling hook and rope

Magnet

Magnifying glass

Periscope for looking around corners

10 lbs of Gunpowder

Empty Space (a bit hard to estimate the cavitation bubble and subsequent flash bang resulting from the compressing air).

"Blessed" Elven wine to bribe the guardsmen

Molten glass over trap to disable it / seize trap door (Might need multiple applications)

Dignitary's cloths (make shift alter self)

Grease, Blistering hot (Summon it above foe, or 10 pounds should easily spread over 5 feet square), subsequent firebolt should finish him nicely.

Holy symbol of leading church

Pipes and tubing (very McGyver-like)

Pulley

Towel to sop up blood/acid/strange liquid...

Seasoning. Your body may need the nutrients past an hour, but the taste only needs to last a moment. Makes for great RP for getting a stay at a local tavern.

Bolt cutters

Tongs (extra long) for when you'd rather not reach into the basin of blood

Slippery oil when you're tied up.

A head of an some important medium humanoid (dealing with the magical glow might be a problem)

Conjure a fast-acting poison to kill someone with, have the evidence remove itself an hour later.

I don't think food will work as chewing something enough to swallow it would probably constitute damage.

As for tool sets, like thieve's tools, I'm not sure if I'd consider that an object, but rather several objects.  I could see a wizard conjuring each tool in turn as it's asked for, assuming the user only needed to use one tool at a time.  Similarly, a collection of ball bearings or caltrops seems questionable.

I like the idea of it as conjuring most stuff in the equipment list. As for books I would say you need to see each page, and if you'd seen each page.... you'd just make a history check anyway to recall whatever it was.
