Skills I want(My monk is a human):
Stealth Perception Persuasion
Past those three need help picking the other 2 and what background to get the three above and the next two.
Note: My guy has 14 charisma.

Well Stealth is in you class list and as a vairaint human you can pick up your missing skill of either perception/persuation if you choose your background to cover
Backgrounds: Guild artisan - Insight & Persuasion Noble - History & Persuasion Sailor - Athletics & Perception
If you're set on taking persuasion I'd grab Guild artisan for Insight, use your human skill for perception and then grab a body skill with your last class choice. |

Also, being a guild member allows you to get a nice (mid-range) Lifestyle for free, when you start thinking about Downtime.
You can, per PH, mix-and-match the skills from your background. Pick any two you want and be creative about how they go together. ("I was apprenticed to an appraiser within my guild; we went around the region checking out merchandise to see just how good it really was. I learned to look over things carefully (Perception) and negotiate with even cranky dealers (Persuasion) during my apprenticeship.")

As for an artisan I could see cartographer being a hermit type loner, elemental being a stoneworker, and shadow apothecary or travelling tinker. Just suggestions of course, I simply think it's nice to tie the choices together sometimes. |
