| #1bighungry85Aug 10, 2014 9:54:35 | Hi, so my porblem is finding a good mount for my character (who happens to be a large size creature). after you add up his weight and equipment weight the mount would need to be able to handle 1,200 lbs. relatively easily (would prefer that to be a light load for the creature, still gotta worry about loot, lol). my dm and i both think that i my mount should come from the same kind of region as my character being the frozen tundra/ mountain regions. the only restrictions my dm said i had were, It couldn't be excessively huge. It has to be able to get around in cities and towns. and it has to actually be able to be trained as a mount. any ideas? |
| #2malisteenAug 10, 2014 10:54:45 | Wooly Mamoth. Huge (enough to carry your character), smart (enough to be trained as a mount). Should be strong enough for your needs. Tundra habitat. Your DM would need to homebrew stats. |
| #3malisteenAug 10, 2014 13:36:50 | As size large, you're going to need something size huge by the books. Not much getting around that. Also, humans train and ride real world elephants. No reason a wooly counterpart would be too big.
Other then that, perhaps some sort of oversized dire wolf, or a plus sized elk (which honestly can get pretty massive even in real life)? |
