The combat section has a fair number of 'maneuvers' you can use while moving. Dash, dodge, disengage, etc... but no charge. With the ASI/Feat budget being so limited as it is, I only see people who specifically want that style of gameplay going after the Charger feat.
Add to that that charge is only one of the possible 'combat actions' I don't see. I get that no flanking is to speed up combat but where is coup de grace? |

But, beyond taking the Charger feat, you can also use something like a bonus action Dash as a class feature, or cast a bonus action spell Misty Step to close the distance on top of your regular movement.. |

But movement is more fluid in general, and weapon swapping is free, so you don't need it as much. |

It exists in two forms: Dying and Living Coup de Grace (these are my names for them, for simplicity, as the game has no name)
Dying Coup de Grace=When a creature is dying and they take damage, they automatically fail a death saving throw (getting them 1/3 closer to death). If they take damage from a critical hit, they automatically fail TWO death saving throws (getting you 2/3 closer to death)! Rule of note: If you are attacked while unconcious from a source within 5ft of you, any hit is an automatic critical hit! (so a dying Coup de Grace has, essentially, a 75%-ish chance to kill the target, assuming they failed a Death Save before the attack or after the attack).
Living Coup de Grace=Whenever you are paralyzed or unconscious, an attack made from within 5ft of you is an automatic crit on a hit. Note this does not apply to Save spells, so a Fireball or Disintegrate won't auto-crit. (so it won't necessarily auto kill, but it'll hurt. And pray they don't get multiple attacks...) |
