The Paladin has always been my all-time favorite class/archetype/concept in fantasy games. Here's an idea I've been kicking around for an upcoming game. I'm not as worried about blank white room "optimization" as I am about actual in-game functionality "optimization." Great Weapon Master, Resilient Con, +4 STR, +2 WIS DEX 8 CON 12 (13) CHA 13
MAGIC Compared to a 20th level pure Pally, I'll have an extra 6th and 7th level slot for upcasting, and access to a pretty awesome spell list. Example: Prepared Cleric Spells: Divine Favor, Shield of Faith, Magic Weapon, Bless, Protection From Energy, Death Ward, Sanctuary, Crusader's Mantle, Spirit Guardians, Freedom of Movement, Stoneskin, Spiritual Weapon, Contagion, Dispel Magic, Flame Strike, Banishment, Hold Person, Hold Monster, Healing Word, Mass Healing Word, Greater Restoration, Mass Cure Wounds, Raise Dead Prepared Paladin Spells: Find Steed, Elemental Weapon, Hunter's Mark, Misty Step, Haste, Bane, Lesser Restoration, Remove Curse, Revivify, Aura of Vitality |

Advantage and +10's are use the same resource. 3: I recommend revivify. If you need raise dead, you can swap durring your next rest. And in general, keep open to swaping cleric spells.
Otherwise, it's a pretty solid. |

2. I actually was curious about how CDs work in 5th now, especially from multiple sources. Paladin says you get a Channel Divinity, you can use it for these things, Cleric says you get a Channel Divinity, you can use it for these things, you can use it more often when you're higher level. Hold over from 4E think would make me assume it's one resource with multiple uses, however reading the entries plainly, with no preconceptions makes me think they are two completely seperate instances of Channel Divinity, tracked seperately. Nothing in the multiclass rules seems to contradict this. Why do you think it's the same resource?
3.I definitely pack Revivify from the time I can start casting it, I just eventually switch it to a Paladin preparation since it's not stat dependant. |
