#1 mr_abomination Aug 20, 2014 17:28:49	My friend has an old version of the 4e character builder, the one you can download and keep even after your D&DI subscription had ended, and we were wondering if anyone has a more up-to-date version of it.   the last time our Builder was updated was November of 2009 and i would love it if we could get some way to add some of the newer rulebooks onto the old thing, or are we going to have to do our character sheets by hand now?
#2 Undrhil Aug 20, 2014 18:48:23	Two things:   First, this is the forum for D&D 5th edition.  There is a character builder in the works for 5e, called Dungeonscape (used to be Codename: Morningstar).  But the 4e character builder will never support 5e.   Second, there used to be a forum (not on the Wizards website) which supported the 4e character builder, but I don't think they are working on updates anymore since there really isn't anymore 4e material coming out (from Wizards, anyway.)  But you can search on Google for it and you should find some mention of it.  You might still be able to get the program.  However, no one on here will be able to point you to it or give you more specific answers about it since Wizards is liable to ban them for "pirating software", even though it isn't pirating in the least.   tl;dr: the 4e character builder will not support 5e and you might be able to find the last updates for the 4e character builder if you search for it.
