#1 Conterter Mar 08, 2015 11:03:01	I'm about to start a new campaing, pc at lvl 5 and no idea when it will be over. I need some advice from people who actually played a druid or is better than me at metagaming. The idea is to summon something then use wildshape and go melee. My biggest problems are:           No idea about which utility spells are good (or spells in general since i'm prolly the only caster).           i don't know what to do with gold (useful gear, armors etc)              the build is: Race variant human. Since i'm planning to spend most of my time in beast form i think it's the best race. ability scores:10str,12dex,15con(16 with resilience feat),10 int,16wis,10cha.                         Skills arcana, survival(not sure about this), stealth(human),athletics and perception(sailor backgroud).                        Gear hide armor, woodden shield, quarterstaff (no idea what to buy), if the dm will allow me to choose an uncommon magic item i'd say stone of good luck.                       Feats warcaster(1)resilience con(4),then probably sentinel, 2x wisdom,alertness.                      Spells cantrips:shillelang, guidance, resistance thornwhip lvl 1 spells:goodberries, faerie fire, charm person. lvl2:pass without trace, heat metal, flaming sphere. lvl3:conjure animal, protection from elements. future: conjure woodland beings, giant insect, no idea.   Also any advice you can give me it will be appreciated.
#2 steelwulf99 Mar 08, 2015 22:29:14	Hi, it reads like it came directly from the druid guide. So job done with regards to optimization. The only thing to note is you can change spells every day so a poor selection isn't much of a burden. Try lots of spells and stick with the ones you like! Lastly, and unrelated to your character, let's talk about PEACH, an anachronistic acronym which is redundant anyway. Grr :/ Time to stop using it and leave it for your grandma's posts on her knitting forums!

#4 Noctaem Mar 09, 2015 11:43:51	Please Examine And Critique Honestly.    Nothing wrong here.  Good job on the build, looks solid.   Did you have specific questions in mind?  Though you could go through the post and make it easier to read.  As is it's all scrunched up together in a wall of text format that makes it annoying.
#5 Conterter Mar 09, 2015 12:46:58	Formatting is my worst enemy but i'll give a try. Also i've been playing d&d from a long time but i think it's more or less my first time i play a druid. My biggest question is: with warcaster, resilience con and 16 in con will my spell last enough? will i last enough in combat?  also as the new op says, other than being a tank in combat what spell will help me cover my role outside of it?
