Grull, the Half-Orc Barbarian

Please help me optimize this build!

Half-Orc Fighter (17) Barbarian (3)

Hey everyone! I'm new to D&D 5e, and I'm working on a Barbarian. . . or. . . actually, I suppose it turned more into a fighter concept. . . really the classes don't matter, I'm more worried about the flavor than the 'written classes on his character sheet.'

I want to play a fun character that is ruthless at attacking, and can also stand up to a lot of punishment!

The basic character concept is a recently escaped Half-Orc pit fighter. He treasures his new-found freedom, but his (quite simple) mind has been fighting in pits and arenas for so long that he's lost all sense of social etiquette, as well as any trace of humanity. He's a brutish thug, and while I hope he'll learn about companionship, decency, at all that other good stuff  - One thing I know he'll be good at is KILLLING STUFF DEAD, so let's get onto that! :D

Grull, The Half-Orc Barbarian

My DM doesn't like using feats, so keep this in mind. The basic idea of the build is to attack fast and often with two-weapon fighting, (I like two-weapon fighting, especially at early levels where if I miss with one attack, at least I got another!) and eventually get enchanted swords (something like flametounge swords) that add damage to each attack to offset the lower damage that comes from dual wielding light weapons.

I think he'd start wearing heavy armor, but as he gains barbarian levels later in the build, go without the armor, because having a giant brute fight bare-chested seems too awesome to not do!

For the Fighter Archetype, I'm thinking Battle Master, Because the maneuvers they get really speak of a brutally efficient fighter to me. Don't want your opponent to have his weapon? Whack it out of his hand! Is there a fire pit nearby? Push enemies into it!

And for Barbarian I like the Totem Warrior "Bear Aspect." Because damage resistance to everything (except psychic) seems ridiculously awesome. And Barbarians get reckless attacks, unarmored defence, they seem too cool not to include in this character build. :D I know dipping into Barbarian doesn't allow the Fighter levels to grant 4 attacks. But I usually retire characters soon after level 20, so the level 20 perks aren't really that important to me. : )

Unfortunately, I really don't like how this character is completely at the mercy of Fear and Charm effects. That low wisdom save is nasty! I almost want to add 3 levels of Barbarian and go "Path of the Berserker." Just to man him up (This would grant him immunity to being frightened or charmed during rages). But Frenzy doesn't stack well with Two-Weapon fighting. . . Frenzy doesn't seem that good any way (those levels of exhaustion are nasty!)

Any way! I'll post the complete build down below! Please let me know your thoughts!
