I guess badass goddess that have bad temper, go around creating blizzards, ride the icy winds and build ice palaces has a soft spot in me So i got stuck :-( Don’t want to create a cardboard character that would simply not fit as a PC.
Any help of here? |

And these settlements aren't even evil, it's just to please the evil Auril, who brings these hard winters, if you aren't pleasing her. And Phandelver is also a place, which needs the Sword Mountains and the mining business there.
Maybe you want to make your own shrine/temple of Auril in Phandalin and need the financial support and trust of the villagers to build it and that's the reason why you're joining Gundren in his quest. Gundren mentioned something big around Phandalin and this is not only a good opportnity to gather some gold, but to actually make a name for yourself and show the people of Phandalin, that Auril might be with them, if they want to (so kick out Tymora! ;)). And to show the 'merciful' side of this merciless goddess, you might help them here and there. First show them the power of Auril and her generosity and then order them to pray to her, unless they want to know her wrath, too. |

People in the area can relate to your cleric's message. You long for the day that you have enough power to bring the first frost earlier in Autumn, and hold the last chill later in Spring. 3e supplement Frostfell may give you some ideas. If you achieve high level and go NPC, your Ultimate Villian's Plot can be making Faerun swing around on its axis so the North Pole is driven further south - creating Ice Age / perma-winter conditions across the Known World.
